Job summary

Gates Corporation in Columbia, MO seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement teams. You will focus on safety, quality, equipment reliability, and overall plant performance while reducing downtime and increasing efficiency.

You will work with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to manage projects, budgets, and capital investments, while developing your team and driving continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Chemical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience overseeing engineering, maintenance, or technical teams.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably rubber/textile/industrial products.
• Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, Reliability, or Project Management are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, maintenance systems, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Engineering, Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement teams to support safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
• Drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and equipment performance while reducing downtime.
• Oversee engineering projects, maintenance programs, capital investments, and process improvements.
