Randstad USA in Waukegan, IL seeks a Chemical Engineering Manager to lead our Maintenance & Engineering function at the site. You will direct a team of engineers and maintenance professionals, own the capital roadmap, drive asset reliability, and uphold safety and cost efficiency to enable world-class production.

In this role you will oversee a multidisciplinary group, manage budgets, and partner across functions to deliver reliable operations with continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or equivalent required (Master's preferred).
• Experience: 8+ years of engineering/maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Project & Budget Leadership: strong track record in CapEx execution, budget ownership, and contractor management.
• Domain Expertise: Chemical manufacturing experience and working knowledge of PSM, Mechanical Integrity, and HSE standard practices preferred.
• Skills: Excellent cross-functional influence, continuous improvement (Lean/ALPS) mindset, and strong financial acumen.

Responsabilités

• Strategic Leadership: Coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing engineering and maintenance team while managing operating and capital budgets.
• Capital & Project Management: Lead capital/expense projects from concept to commissioning, managing site roadmaps, technical standards, and MoC processes.
• Asset Reliability: Oversee preventive/predictive maintenance, turnaround shutdowns, and RCFA/RCM programs to optimize asset lifecycles and OEE.
• Operational Excellence & HSE: Partner cross-functionally to resolve technical issues, enforce robust Process Safety Management (PSM), and drive Lean initiatives.
