Partnerize is seeking a hands-on Director of Engineering to manage Konnecto's Israel-based engineering organization. You will lead a seasoned team, scale delivery, and align engineering with product and business priorities while maintaining high-quality execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years of engineering leadership or people management experience.
• Proven experience leading software engineering teams in fast-moving product organizations.
• Strong understanding of modern backend architectures, distributed systems, and software development practices.
• Experience managing roadmap execution and cross-functional delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, and develop engineering talent.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience balancing technical quality, business priorities, and delivery timelines.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and decision-making abilities.
• High ownership mentality with a pragmatic and execution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team through regular coaching, feedback, career development, and performance management.
• Create an environment where engineers can perform at a high level, grow professionally, and take ownership of their work.
• Support hiring efforts, interviewing, onboarding, and team expansion initiatives.
• Help scale the Israeli R&D organization while maintaining strong engagement, motivation, and professional growth across the team.
• Partner closely with Product leadership to translate business goals and roadmap priorities into engineering execution plans.
• Drive planning, prioritization, estimation, and delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.
• Ensure engineering commitments are delivered with high quality and predictable execution.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and execution challenges early and drive solutions proactively.
• Improve team effectiveness, development velocity, and operational efficiency as the organization grows.
• Provide technical guidance across architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in major architectural discussions and technical decision-making processes.
• Support engineers through design reviews, code reviews, technical mentoring, and problem-solving.
• Help balance short-term product needs with long-term scalability, maintainability, and platform health.
• Partner with engineering teams to identify opportunities for improving reliability, performance, observability, and operational excellence.
• Work closely with Product, QA, Design, Data Engineering, BI, and DevOps stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of company objectives.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across teams.
• Act as the primary engineering representative in planning, prioritization, and execution discussions.
• Help align technical decisions with broader business goals and strategic initiatives.
• The engineering team continues to scale successfully while maintaining strong execution and quality standards.
• Engineers receive consistent mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for professional development.
• Product and Engineering maintain strong alignment and predictable delivery.
• The organization successfully expands its engineering footprint in Israel through effective hiring and talent development.
• Technical decisions support both immediate business goals and long-term platform scalability.
• Development processes evolve appropriately as the team grows without introducing unnecessary complexity or bureaucracy.
• Engineering remains a trusted partner to Product and business stakeholders.
