Job summary

Stellar Industries, Galion, OH, seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering team supporting chassis mounted fuel and lubrication equipment. You will prioritize projects, provide design engineering support to manufacturing, and build relationships with operations and plant management to drive continuous product improvement and reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in an engineering-related role.
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Manage hiring, training, and technical development of engineering personnel.
• Coach and develop the team with a people-first perspective and collaboration.
• Identify opportunities to reduce product cost, improve reliability, and simplify manufacturing.
• Identify and eliminate sources of waste in departmental workflows and via design.
• Evaluate field performance, warranty levels, and customer feedback to prioritize improvements.
• Manage engineered-to-order products to meet timelines and customer requirements.
• Review designs to specifications for features, performance, and regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments to align projects with cross-functional timelines.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on complex design challenges.
• Influence designs to maximize commonality, scalability, and lifecycle performance.
• Compile data and prepare reports on research and testing of existing products.
• Fulfill customer service requests including warranty inspection and field troubleshooting.
• Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned; follow safety rules and promote safety culture.
