Job summary

Amtec Staffing seeks an Engineering Leader to act as the technical authority for an Integrated Product Team in a defense manufacturing setting. You will guide a small, skilled team and drive design, process, and automation initiatives to meet program objectives.

This hands-on leadership role requires DoD experience, strong mentoring, and the ability to align activities with safety, quality, and cost targets while coordinating with PM, QA, and planners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in engineering roles within defense/aerospace manufacturing.
• 1+ year in technical leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for the engineering subgroup within the IPT.
• Coordinate designs, processes, and automation to meet program goals.
• Mentor staff and develop individualized growth plans.
• Oversee capital and productivity projects with site teams.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across activities.
• Interface with customers and suppliers on technical requirements.
