Job summary

Amtec Staffing seeks a Lead Designer of Automation Systems to develop automation equipment and tooling for production, enhancing precision, safety and quality.

You will coordinate with Program Management, R&D, Engineering and Management to prepare detailed plans for infrastructure improvements, capital expenditure requests, and ROI justification, while supervising installation and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree or equivalent with automation experience.
• Strong PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting skills required.
• Ability to read schematics, spec sheets and perform calculations.
• Experience integrating new methods with existing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of automation systems and tooling for production.
• Collaborate with PM, R&D, Eng, and Management on automation projects.
• Prepare plans for capital improvements and ROI justification.
• Coordinate scheduling for bids, studies and projects.
• Oversee installation, maintenance support, and testing activities.
• Stay informed on new technologies and apply them where appropriate.
• Uphold high ethical standards and company policies.
