Based at Roblox’s San Mateo headquarters, this hands‑on leadership role combines technical direction with talent development, cross‑functional collaboration, and a focus on privacy and safety at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years managing engineers.
• Experience delivering large‑scale distributed data systems and data pipelines.
• Strong foundation in identity resolution, ad measurement/attribution, or ML feature pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to set technical direction and lead teams through ambiguity.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of data privacy principles and regulations (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA).

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of engineers, handling hiring and performance management.
• Set a multi‑quarter technical roadmap across identity, measurement, targeting, and ML platforms.
• Partner with product, data science, privacy/legal, and Ads/Data Platform teams to translate goals into plans.
• Raise the bar on engineering quality: design, data correctness, reliability and ops at scale.
• Champion privacy-by-design and responsible data handling in every system.
• Present team trade-offs and progress to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
