Job summary

Entergy invites applications for a Supv, Relay Settings in the Louisiana/New Orleans area. The position provides leadership for engineering activities within Relay Settings, supervising staff who prepare system models, studies, relay settings, DFR configurations, and related documents to meet objectives and regulatory requirements.

The role collaborates with Grids, Distribution and Project Development, serving as the technical expert on settings, developing standards and addressing regulatory

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience with proven leadership capabilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of relay settings and DFR Configuration/SCADA practices; strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct supervision to an engineering staff of relay settings and DFR configuration personnel, including coaching, training, effective resource management, providing technical guidance and quality assurance.
  • Evaluates the resource levels required for current and future workloads; assigns staff, manages consultants, and handles scope, cost tracking and invoices.
  • Has system-wide responsibility and participates on jurisdictional teams to enhance communication and coordination within the project organization.
  • Serves as primary contact for Grids, Distribution and Project Development for settings and configuration evaluations, proposals and estimates; acts as technical expert on settings-related issues for the system.
  • Develops, maintains and implements relay design standards.
  • Responds to relay-related regulatory and compliance issues.
