Job summary

Midnite in the United States is seeking an Engineering Lead to provide hands-on technical leadership and to grow a team of three to four engineers. You will write production code, set architectural direction, and release features while guiding the team in building reliable systems.

You will partner with Product, Design and Trading to turn complex problems into simple, scalable experiences, delivering incremental value with each release.

Qualifications

• Backend leader with hands-on coding and system design experience.
• Strong Python skills or willingness to learn Python quickly.
• Experience guiding a small team and delivering reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and lead system design across APIs, services and data.
• Write production code and release features while guiding others.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to define milestones and releases.
• Manage three to four engineers with clear expectations and feedback.
• Develop engineers through design reviews, pairing and incidents.
• Champion testing, observability, and safe release practices.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs and improve systems after issues.
• Contribute to hiring, onboarding and shared engineering practices.
