Job summary

RSC is seeking a Software Development Team Lead to own the technical direction of our product roadmaps and manage a cross‑functional engineering team in the UK.

You will guide architecture, oversee delivery across backend (.NET C#), frontend (HTML/CSS/JS/Vue.js) and DevOps (AWS), ensure best practices, and mentor engineers while collaborating with Solution Architects to drive high‑quality releases.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of programming principles and how they impact maintainability of enterprise applications.
• Expert‑level knowledge and hands‑on experience with .NET C# back‑end development.
• High level understanding of front‑end development (HTML/CSS/JS/Vue.js).
• Experience with DevOps best practices (continuous delivery, continuous testing, IaC).
• Understanding of cloud architecture principles with hands‑on AWS experience.
• Proven record delivering projects across the full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Experience in Agile practices (Scrum/Kanban).
• People management experience including delivery quality, workloads and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a cross‑functional engineering team (backend, frontend, SRE, QA).
• Shape software architecture and implementation details across the lifecycle.
• Own the technical direction of the product roadmap and drive timely, high‑quality releases.
• Guide agile teams, prioritise backlog, and manage technical changes and releases.
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture and professional development.
