Job summary

Cascade AI is hiring an Engineering Lead to guide the team building our end-user experiences for AI agents used by employees worldwide. You will own architecture, delivery, and the health of the frontend and backend surfaces, while partnering with product and design to ship reliable, high-performance interfaces.

You’ll mentor engineers, design scalable systems, and drive real-time HR workflows with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms, reporting to the CTO. Equity, impact, and fast growth await.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including leadership roles.
• Strong proficiency in Python (required).
• Strong cloud experience with production-grade systems.
• Robust system design experience with real-time, long-running workflows.
• Experience owning large, multi-sprint initiatives end-to-end.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers — day-to-day execution, direction, and health.
• Drive full-stack development of end-user experiences: conversational interfaces, workflows, and agent-driven interactions.
• Architect frontend and backend systems for real-time HR workflows.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and career guidance.
• Partner with product/design to define roadmaps and shape features.
• Iterate improvements from user feedback to increase clarity and engagement.
• Own production excellence: monitoring, observability, and incident response.
