8090 Solutions Inc. is seeking an Engineering Lead to guide the technical direction and execution of the Software Factory agent. This role combines hands-on coding with leadership to scale an exceptional engineering team and deliver dependable customer experiences.

You will stay hands-on in code while collaborating with product management to turn ambitious capabilities into reliable, scalable software. This is a high-impact builder-leader position in Redwood City, CA.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production agents with high-volume usage and measurable customer impact.
• Deep practical expertise in LLM-based agent systems, including orchestration, context engineering, tool integration, memory, model selection, and evaluation.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and demonstrated ability to build, debug, and operate complex production systems.
• Evidence of technical leadership and mentorship that improved other engineers' work.

Responsibilities

• Own agent architecture across multi-agent orchestration, agent harnesses, prompt and context design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), memory, tools, and execution environments.
• Translate product roadmap into technical plans, milestones, and dependencies; lead prioritization and remove blockers.
• Regularly write and ship production code, lead code reviews, and solve difficult technical problems with engineers.
• Develop engineers' technical judgment, recruit talent, and establish planning and review practices.
• Make agent behavior observable with production traces and feedback to improve reliability, latency, and cost.
• Partner with security and infrastructure teams on permissions and sandboxing for production deployment.
