Job summary

Cascade AI is seeking an Engineering Lead in San Francisco to steer a hands-on team building high-performance end-user experiences for HR workflows. You will own architecture, mentor engineers, and partner with product, design, and AI platforms to ship reliable software at scale.

You’ll drive full-stack development with Python, React, and containerized deployments, balancing speed with reliability while shaping the product's technical direction.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering, with leadership experience.
• Strong Python proficiency and cloud experience.
• Solid system design experience with production-grade systems.
• Track record of delivering large, multi-sprint initiatives.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into concrete technical plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers and own day-to-day execution.
• Drive full-stack development of core end-user experiences.
• Architect frontend and backend systems for real-time HR workflows.
• Make architectural decisions balancing performance and reliability.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and pairing.
• Collaborate with product/design and AI platform teams on roadmap.
• Turn user feedback into iterative improvements to increase clarity and trust.
• Own production excellence: monitoring, observability, and incident response.
