We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead with a strong background in analog and digital circuit design, PCB implementation, and product level hardware development. The ideal candidate has deep hands on experience taking designs from concept through schematic capture, simulation, PCB layout oversight, bring up, validation, and release to manufacturing.
This role is highly technical and requires someone who can independently design robust circuits, evaluate component tradeoffs, and deliver reliable, low noise, production ready hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and validate analog, mixed signal, and digital circuits for new products and internal platforms.
- Own the full hardware development cycle: requirements schematic design simulation PCB layout guidance bring up test release.
- Perform detailed component selection, derating analysis, and design reviews for power, signal integrity, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain schematics, BOMs, and design documentation using industry standard CAD tools (PADS, etc.).
- Collaborate closely with PCB layout engineers to ensure proper stack up, routing, grounding, impedance control, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Execute hardware bring up, debugging, and validation using oscilloscopes, and other lab equipment.
- Support DFM/DFT, work with contract manufacturers, and resolve issues during prototype and production builds.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of hardware design practices, test methods, and internal standards.
Required Qualifications
- 10-20 years of professional experience in electronics hardware design.
- Strong proficiency in analog circuit design, including op amps, filters, power stages, sensors, and signal conditioning circuits.
- Solid experience with digital interfaces (SPI, I²C, UART, USB, LVDS, etc.).
- Hands on experience with PCB design and layout constraints, including high speed routing, controlled impedance, and noise sensitive analog sections.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, LTspice, PSpice).
- Strong debugging skills and experience with lab instrumentation.
- Ability to read datasheets deeply and make informed component level decisions.
- Experience taking hardware through prototype, validation, and production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with sensor electronics, DC converters, or low noise analog design.
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation, grounding strategies, and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and firmware hardware integration.
- Experience with DFM/DFT, manufacturing processes, and working with CM partners.
- Ability to write clear documentation, test plans, and validation reports.
Soft Skills
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive designs from concept to production.
- Excellent communication and cross functional collaboration skills.
- Commitment to best practices, documentation, contributing to technical reviews.
- Detail oriented, methodical, and committed to high quality engineering.
