Job summary

San Jose State University’s Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering seeks a Systems Analyst to develop, manage, and maintain college-wide computing systems.

You will coordinate technology projects, provide technical support to students, staff and faculty, and lead the deployment and maintenance of hardware and software across the college. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies & Research and the Senior Systems Analyst Lead of Engineering Computing Systems, you will help ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience administering Windows domain controllers, servers and workstations.
• Knowledge of imaging, deployment, and licensed software management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliable operation of college computer labs as systems administrator and lead.
• Plan, design, procure, and implement upgrades to support coursework.
• Develop tools for network and local printing in labs.
• Provide AV support and maintenance for COE lecture rooms.
• Manage licensing servers for software in labs.
• Develop and maintain virtual server environments for lab servers.
• Create and maintain application servers for network software deployment.
• Ensure high availability, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Document procedures for rapid regeneration of compromised workstations and servers.
