Cummins Inc. invites students to join a hands-on engineering internship focused on information technologies, service delivery, and process improvement.

You will support defined work processes and data repositories while learning how to improve systems and tools used by engineers. The program targets full-time enrolled undergrads or grads, with a 40-hour week expectation, GPA 2.5+, and eligibility for CPT/OPT where required.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited U.S. college/university
• Minimum 2.5 or above GPA preferred
• Must be able to complete 40 hours per week
• Willingness to learn from others on the job
• Must be currently residing within the continental U.S.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical information and knowledge-based activities, fulfills work requests to standardized policies and procedures and documents results.
• Applies and supports information processes such as ESW, VPI, product change management and data repositories such as technical information libraries.
• Obtains input and negotiates with a broad variety of technical practitioners to deliver results that enable high quality processes, tools, drawings, or specifications.
• Applies academic knowledge and existing experience to act and make decisions that progress projects forward without sacrificing quality.
• Owns problem resolution for moderately complex components, products, systems, subsystems, or services with a low degree of technical complexity.
