Job summary

HNTB is seeking a motivated intern to assist assigned engineering teams on infrastructure projects. You will support research, design, and documentation tasks as part of a hands-on learning experience.

As an intern, you will apply basic engineering concepts, use MS Office, and gain exposure to shop drawings and submittal procedures while collaborating with professionals across disciplines in multiple Florida locations, including Tampa.

Qualifications

• Understands engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles at a basic level.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Accepts and applies direction from peers and supervisors.
• Understands introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures and requirements.
• Able to perform basic engineering calculations.
• Able to organize information for use in drawings or other documents.

Responsibilities

• Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
• Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
• Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
