Job summary

Cagayan State University is offering an on-site, 10-week engineering internship in the United States. You will apply classroom knowledge to real manufacturing challenges, own a meaningful project with guidance, and collaborate with engineers, operators, quality staff, and maintenance teams.

You will investigate issues, reduce scrap, and improve processes using CAD, data analysis, and lean methods while learning safety practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Interest in applying engineering skills to manufacturing challenges.
• Willingness to work with data and learn new tools, asking questions.
• Collaborative approach and respect for production staff.
• Available for the 10-week program on site starting May 25, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Apply classroom knowledge to real manufacturing challenges alongside engineers and operators.
• Own a meaningful engineering project with guidance from a team.
• Investigate quality issues, reduce scrap, and improve processes.
• Learn and follow facility safety practices in office and manufacturing areas.
• Collect and analyze engineering data to identify opportunities and measure results.
• Use CAD, testing equipment, data analysis, root cause analysis, and lean methods.
• Document work, present findings to facility leadership and incorporate feedback.
