Job summary

Cagayan State University is seeking engineering interns to support daily production needs, perform basic analysis and testing, and contribute to prototype design and documentation. You will work with a global team across multiple sites, gaining hands-on experience in lean manufacturing and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in CAD/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside the on-staff Engineering Team focusing on daily production needs such as problem resolution and value improvements.
• Perform basic analysis and testing; set up and administer tests to verify functionality, strength, and safety.
• Contribute to design considerations of prototype parts, assemblies, product design sketches, and drawings.
• Create detailed engineering documentation including design, drafting, and analysis on process and/or product improvement projects.
• Utilize SolidWorks, Microsoft Office products, and other engineering software.
• Research components and contact suppliers as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement of processes and procedures within a lean manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with team members from global locations, including more than 50 manufacturing sites worldwide.
