Job summary

Entergy Louisiana, LLC is seeking a Student Intern in Project Delivery Spring 2027 to support substation project work in New Orleans. You will assist engineers, participate in scoping, and help develop estimates on site visits.

You will perform engineering analyses, produce relaying designs, and create CAD drawings while coordinating with design and construction teams. This internship requires an engineering major with a minimum 2.8 GPA and onsite work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (sophomore or higher).
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 (on 4.0 scale).
• Preferred: Bachelor’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in day-to-day activities within a team environment.
• Participate in project scoping and site visits for substation projects.
• Coordinate with design and construction to develop project scope and estimates.
• Perform engineering analyses to support relaying designs.
• Develop relaying design packages based on scope and visits.
• Identify and procure relaying materials.
• Create construction drawings using CAD software and prepare relay one-line drawings.
• Validate estimating prices and ensure material orders are correct and ready.
• Support project schedules with Primavera and assist in construction projects.
• Complete as-built documentation and participate in weekly planning calls.
• Contribute to special projects to improve grid reliability.
• Travel may be required.
