Job summary

Wieland North America, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Intern, Recycling, to support projects spanning metals recycling and circularity. The role is full of hands‑on learning opportunities in a global manufacturing setting and will be based on‑site in Shelbyville, KY.

As a team member, you will gain experience across quality control, CAD design, and capital project planning while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive sustainable value.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or equivalent.
• High School graduate or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Aid in establishing standards and policies for quality control, testing, and maintenance of equipment.
• Complete a project in Shred-Sort, Furnace, Slagging, Casting, Packaging, Fume Treatment, Waste Water, etc.
• Assist in planning, design, and implementation of Capital Projects that drive business objectives.
• Learn about global and local copper circularity and metal recycling.
• Learn about business and manufacturing.
