Job summary

Duke Energy seeks engineering interns to gain hands-on experience across Transmission, Distribution, and PMC. You will work with staff engineers on real-world projects, learn CAD/MATLAB tools, and contribute to grid design, planning and reliability efforts.

Eligible students must be enrolled in ABET-accredited programs, not graduate before August 2026, and maintain a 2.75+ GPA. Hybrid and onsite opportunities are available across multiple locations, with a housing stipend where applicable.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or related Engineering Technology/Construction Management.
• Must not graduate prior to August 2026 and maintain a 2.75+ GPA.
• Opportunity to work on real-world projects and learn from engineers.

Responsibilities

• Work with staff engineers on design, analysis and transmission projects.
• Assist with grid planning, equipment reliability and project management.
• Participate in rotations across Transmission, Distribution, and PMC teams.
