Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Keosauqua, IA is seeking an Engineering Intern to drive design and analysis for cooling and display equipment. You will work on projects from concept through testing, using SolidWorks and data analysis to improve manufacturability and performance.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, support test plans, and develop skills in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluids engineering while contributing to real product improvements onsite.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 4-year engineering degree program.
• Rising junior to senior pursuing mechanical engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead at least one engineering project and support others.
• Promote designs using low-GWP refrigerants where possible.
• Use SolidWorks to create/verify parts and subsystems.
• Develop tools or designs to improve manufacturability.
• Translate customer requirements into test plans via cross-functional discussions.
• Manage project schedules and ensure timely evaluation testing.
• Collaborate with lab personnel to execute product test plans.
