Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an Engineering Intern to join BLUvera, Mortenson’s self-perform manufacturing affiliate, in Minnesota. You will gain hands-on experience from day one, supporting project teams and partners to keep work moving.

You’ll develop skills in design, planning, and coordination while contributing to real projects and learning how BLUvera applies DfMA principles to prefabrication processes.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Previous internship experience preferred.
• Undergraduate junior status preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and organized with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Complete construction change orders.
• Handle shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs.
• Assist with purchase orders and subcontractor agreements.
• Partner in construction sequencing and schedule maintenance.
• Participate in preconstruction and pre-installation meetings.
• Attend subcontractor coordination meetings and assist with correspondence.
• Utilize industry-leading software to support manufacturing for construction processes.
• Manage material procurement.
