Generac’s Internship Program is a full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) running May/June through August 2027. It is on-site with locations in Wisconsin: Waukesha (HQ), Pewaukee, and other plant sites statewide.

Interns gain real-world experience, contribute to impactful projects, and develop skills in electrical engineering disciplines under experienced mentors. Roles span Electrical Systems, Controls Engineering, Embedded Systems, and Power Electronics, emphasizing CAD modeling, BOM

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Understanding of basic electrical concepts and ability to read schematics.
• Experience or familiarity with programming languages that interface with hardware.

Aufgaben

• Design, validate, and bring new products to market.
• Provide NPD support across generator/ power tool lines including CAD drawings and BOMs.
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to optimize designs for manufacturability.
• Support product development schedules and cost targets.
• Assist in tests, evaluations, and process validation for standard components.
• Travel to other Generac facilities as needed.
