Job summary

Carlisle Construction Materials is seeking an Engineering Intern to support maintenance and reliability initiatives at the Lake City facility. You will work with mechanical and electrical systems, PM programs, and technical documentation.

The role offers exposure to reliability, Lean manufacturing, TPM, and asset optimization while collaborating with technicians and leadership to improve equipment performance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Coursework in engineering fundamentals, technical writing, and maintenance concepts.
• Ability to read OEM manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Foundational understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (motors, pumps, conveyors, sensors).

Responsibilities

• Review manuals, schematics, and diagrams to understand equipment functionality.
• Extract PM tasks and service intervals from technical documentation.
• Identify critical equipment components based on risk and downtime impact.
• Create and maintain PM task lists and spare parts inventories in Excel/Word.
• Support SAP CMMS updates to keep asset data accurate.
• Translate technical information into clear maintenance procedures.
