Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a technical intern in Virginia to apply fundamental scientific methods and mechanistic understanding to improve processes and design capability for new and existing products. You will work to influence across organizational boundaries and participate in hypothesis generation, experimentation, data analysis, and reporting.

The internship runs for 10 weeks in Summer 2027 (May–August 2027).

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or completing a technical degree.
• Lab experience with basic assays.
• Ability to collaborate across teams.
• Strong communication skills.
• Availability for 10 weeks during Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Generate hypotheses, design experiments, and facilitate fundamental understanding.
• Analyze data and generate reports for sharing with team members and leaders.
