Job summary

South Jersey Gas, a division of South Jersey Industries, invites applications for a Summer Engineering Intern. You will assist managers and engineers on a range of projects, perform calculations and analyses, and support design modifications in AutoCAD while gaining hands-on experience in a real utility environment.

The program runs 11 weeks with hybrid work options, mentorship, seminars, and networking across the SJI community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree with graduation Fall 2028 or later.
• Open to rising Junior or Senior; all students considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to department Manager and Engineers on project responsibilities.
• Perform calculations, analyses, and research for upcoming projects.
• Perform basic engineering design modifications in AutoCAD.
• Assist drafting, finalizing, and implementing new technical reports and process improvements.
• Prepare and collaborate on a cross-functional project to present to SJI Executive Leadership.
