Job summary

Elizabethtown Gas is seeking a System Integrity Engineering Intern for an 11-week summer program in Union, NJ. You will assist managers and engineers on varied projects, perform calculations, create basic schematics, and support integrity management initiatives in a collaborative, hybrid environment.

The internship welcomes rising juniors/seniors or masters students in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, with strong communication skills and proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Python.

Qualifications

• Rising Junior/Senior or Masters Engineering student pursuing Mechanical or Civil Engineering at an ABET accredited college/university.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; Python experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; professional demeanor and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support department Managers and Engineers on larger project responsibilities.
• Perform calculations, analyses and research on upcoming department projects.
• Create basic engineering schematics using design software.
• Support Integrity Management Programs through data gathering and analysis.
• Assist drafting, finalizing and implementing new technical reports and process improvements.
• Prepare and collaborate on cross-functional projects to present to leadership.
