Job summary

Nortech Systems in Bemidji, MN is seeking an engineering undergraduate to contribute to electro-mechanical device design and testing on a part-time, on-site basis.

You will draft drawings, update models, and help with testing, calibration, and troubleshooting while collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers. This internship-like role supports lifesaving products and emphasizes hands-on experience in engineering design and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering specifications.
• Experience with CAD/software tools and design processes.
• Able to work on a project team focused on design, problem-solving, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Work on assigned electro-mechanical device, component, assembly design and testing projects.
• Draft or update engineering drawings and models for assigned products and assemblies.
• Assist with product testing, calibration and troubleshooting.
• Research part and component suppliers, create and maintain parts lists.
• Present project research/findings to engineering/manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional experts to problem solve and complete assignments.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers as needed.
• Demonstrate Nortech’s Mission, Core Values, policies and procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
