Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure seeks energetic engineering interns to join our team in Phoenix and Tucson. Ideal candidates have a technical background in geotechnical, civil, geological engineering or related fields, are current students or recent graduates, and will work closely with licensed professionals.

You'll gain hands-on experience in reports, field sampling, soil classification, and industry-standard tools while advancing professionally in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college or recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, Geological Engineering or related field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive to project sites.
• Ability to pass a drug test and maintain a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing technical reports.
• Travel to and perform field sampling or testing.
• Collect and classify soil samples for geotechnical investigations.
• Perform Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
• Contribute to safety and project documentation.
