Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, IL is offering a Corporate Engineering Intern program for current four-year university students to work with engineering professionals on project work across multiple disciplines.

You will learn and apply engineering skills through hands-on assignments, presentations, and performance evaluations. The internship lasts 12 weeks at 40 hours per week with opportunities to network with management and explore Caterpillar areas beyond your assigned team.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in a four-year university pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree
• Must have completed at least 24 semester hours prior to start
• Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA at time of application and before start

Responsibilities

• Internship is a 40-hour-per-week assignment lasting 12 weeks
• Build technical capabilities across Product Design, Simulation, Test/Validation, Controls, Embedded Software, and Data Analytics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and management to learn and network within Caterpillar
