Job summary

Martin Marietta is offering a Salisbury Shop Engineering Internship to provide students hands-on experience in engineering, fabrication, machining, and repair operations at our crusher repair facility. You will work under the Engineering Manager, gaining exposure to design, detailing, testing oversight, and final project delivery.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with SolidWorks or Autodesk Advance Steel is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn in a manufacturing and engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote safety, environmental, and ethical standards in all work activities.
• Assist engineering personnel with design, detailing, fabrication oversight, testing oversight, and project execution.
• Support engineering projects through various stages, including design development and final project delivery.
• Gain hands-on experience with precision measuring equipment like micrometers, calipers, and vision measuring systems.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, machining, and maintenance teams to support operational objectives.
