Martin Marietta's Salisbury Shop Engineering Internship provides meaningful, hands-on experience supporting engineering, fabrication, machining, and repair operations within the company's crusher repair facility.

Reporting to the Shop Manager, you'll gain exposure to diverse manufacturing processes, safety practices, and project-management skills while working alongside experienced engineers, machinists, and maintenance staff.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or Automation Engineering.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD preferred.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn in a manufacturing and engineering environment.

Aufgaben

• Follow and promote safety, environmental, and ethical standards.
• Participate in safety initiatives and support safety culture.
• Demonstrate initiative, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
• Identify and assist with projects that improve facility and process safety, quality control, and 5S adoption.
• Identify and scope projects to increase automation in mechanics, welding, machining, and warehousing.
• Record and develop work instructions for repair processes.
• Assist in transitioning quality control from paper to digital.
• Gain hands-on experience with precision measuring equipment and CNC processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, fabrication, machining, and maintenance teams to meet objectives.
