Job summary

Worthington Enterprises is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the Engineering team and managers in the facility. The role focuses on improving production levels and quality through innovation in design, repair and maintenance of equipment and process flow.

December/January start; 15-20 hours weekly during the school year, 40 hours weekly in summer. Ideal candidates come from mechanical, electrical, or welding engineering backgrounds and will gain hands-on experience in troubleshooting,

Qualifications

  • Two years of college in Engineering or related field required.
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with CAD and budgeting projects preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with troubleshooting and documenting critical machine breakdowns through root cause analysis.
  • Support design, repair and maintenance of equipment and processes.
  • Assist engineers in budgeting and project planning.
  • Collaborate with team to analyze issues and implement rapid solutions.
  • Maintain clear documentation and communicate findings effectively.

Responsibilities & Desired Skills

  • Assist with trouble shooting & documenting critical machine breakdowns & processes through root cause analysis.
  • Working knowledge of microsoft applications & auto CAD.
  • Strong interpersonal & teamwork skills.
  • Strong analytical ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and work at a fast pace.
  • Assist other engineers in the design and budgeting of projects.
  • Candidate must have completed at least two years of a college degree from a recognized accredited college or university in Engineering or other related degrees.
