Job summary

Little is seeking Engineering Summer Interns in Charlotte, NC and Durham, NC to join a collaborative design team. Interns assist Civil, Structural, Electrical, Mechanical or Architectural engineers on real projects, gain field and drafting experience, and work under licensed professionals.

The program targets rising juniors, seniors and graduate students; internships are paid and involve exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, InDesign, Photoshop and SketchUp in a multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Rising college junior, senior or graduate student in Civil/Structural/Electrical/Mechanical/Architectural Engineering.
• Familiar with Revit, InDesign, Photoshop and SketchUp; experience with AutoCAD is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organized, detail-oriented work.

Responsibilities

• Assist drafting and design tasks on real projects under licensed engineers.
• Conduct field site assessments and support municipal permitting & entitlements.
• Research materials and specifications to support project goals.
• Provide code research and design support for building systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers in Charlotte and Durham offices.
