Job summary

Notre Dame is offering a summer internship focused on engineering controls, CAD drafting, and documentation. The role includes enabling safety improvements, creating equipment drawings, writing SOPs and maintenance guides, and developing work plans and BOM verification for a Grenzebach asset.

The program targets rising juniors/seniors who meet GPA criteria and can commit to 12 weeks in summer 2027, with dependable transportation and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a relevant discipline with anticipated graduation between Dec 2027 and May 2029
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Available to work full-time for 12 weeks during summer 2027
• Reliable transportation to and from the work location
• Authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Complete a safety project that eliminates an identified hazard through engineering controls
• Create CAD drawings for new Grenzebach equipment
• Develop SOPs, maintenance documents, and troubleshooting guides
• Prepare Standard Work Order job plans and material lists; convert PM task plans into checklists
• Clean and verify the bill of materials (BOM) for one selected asset
