Job summary

Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) invites students to join our Summer Engineering Internship Program in Houston. As an Engineering Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects that support the design, production, testing, and continuous improvement of industry-leading products and solutions.

You'll gain hands-on experience in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, with mentorship, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to present

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated leadership through academic projects or internships.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering projects from concept through implementation.
• Assist with product design, analysis, testing, and validation activities.
• Participate in process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Analyze engineering data and develop recommendations to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations.
• Create and update technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Observe and support manufacturing operations, field activities, or laboratory testing.
• Present project results and recommendations to engineering leadership at the conclusion of the internship.
• Work directly with experienced engineers and mentors on meaningful assignments that impact the business.

What You’ll Do

As an Engineering Intern, you may have the opportunity to:

• Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, organizations, internships, or extracurricular activities.
