Shasta College invites applications for part-time instructors to teach courses and participate in continuing improvement of instruction and student success in a diverse college environment.

All temporary instructors are compensated a salaried flat rate per clock hour taught each semester under the district’s collective bargaining agreement, with online, in-person, and hybrid modalities available.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to design and deliver courses
• Ability to teach in-person, online, or hybrid modalities
• Strong communication and collaboration with colleagues
• Sensitivity to diverse student populations and learning needs
• Maintain current subject matter knowledge

Responsibilities

• Meet classes as scheduled and follow official course outlines
• Design and deliver instruction for each course and lab
• Maintain online course components for online/hybrid classes
• Provide timely feedback and grade according to district policies
• Engage in professional development and submit required paperwork
