Shasta College seeks a part-time Spanish Instructor to teach classes at the Main Campus in Redding, CA. The instructor will develop and implement course materials, adapting to in-person, online, and hybrid formats while supporting diverse student populations and contributing to ongoing program improvements.

The role involves preparing syllabi, providing timely feedback, and meeting duties within the academic calendar, with compensation as a salaried flat rate per clock hour taught each semester.

Competenze

• Master's in the language being taught or Bachelor's in the language being taught with a Master's in another language or linguistics
• AND Master's in another language or linguistics OR equivalent
• Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds and learning needs

Mansioni

• Meet classes/laboratories as assigned within the academic calendar
• Develop and implement instruction for each class and laboratory period
• Maintain online course components for online/hybrid courses
• Provide regular, timely feedback to students and return graded work promptly
• Distribute syllabi in the first week communicating course details and requirements
• Submit required administrative paperwork and learning outcomes on schedule
