Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking an Instructor in Engineering to teach credited courses, develop syllabi, and lead programmatic activities. Experience in postsecondary teaching is preferred. You will deliver face-to-face, hybrid, and online instruction, manage course materials, and participate in recruitment and program development

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in discipline or Master’s degree and 18 graduate hours in discipline.
• Postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
• Industry or teaching experience in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Teaches face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes as needed to provide course delivery and scheduling options that promote student retention and program completion.
• Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited Engineering courses at a Gwinnett Technical College.
• Develops program and syllabi, goals, and objectives.
• Evaluates students' progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares budget requests.
• Maintains program certification requirements, as appropriate.
• Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports.
• Attends staff development training, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
• Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
• Meets with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss instructional programs and curricula, and issues impacting student progress.
