Job summary

Intertek Dupont, WA is seeking an Engineering Field Technician I to join its Building & Construction team. The role focuses on testing, site assessments, and reporting within a dynamic project environment.

Responsibilities include soil, concrete, and asphalt testing, interpreting drawings, and documenting results while coordinating with clients and project teams. U.S. citizenship and outdoor work ability are required; valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 30–50 pounds frequently and work outdoors in adverse weather.
• Must be able to receive detailed information orally and discern sound.
• Must be able to work overnight hours and off-shift as needed.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to Navy contract.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Operate testing equipment and perform construction testing (soil, concrete, asphalt) and report results.
• Use drawings, specifications, and diagrams to guide testing.
• Make detailed site observations and provide limited interpretation of results.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
• Communicate effectively with client and project teams.
