Job summary
Kansas City Public Schools is looking for a Secondary Teacher for Career Technical Education in engineering and pathways to energy. The ideal candidate will develop lesson plans, maintain curriculum, and participate in professional development. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree or an Associate’s degree with relevant experience. Teaching experience in urban settings is preferred. The position offers comprehensive benefits including health and retirement plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university plus 4000 hours of experience.
- 60 Credit Hours or Associate’s degree plus 5000 hours of experience.
- Valid certifications as required (CPR, safety, etc).
- Previous teaching experience in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute lesson plans that lead to student achievement.
- Update curriculum for the content program as needed.
- Prepare orders for instructional materials.
- Maintain inventory and equipment.
- Participate in professional development activities.
Skills
Instruction in engineering and energy pathways
Lesson planning and curriculum development
Classroom management

Education
