Job summary

HYDAC International in Birmingham, AL, seeks a Drafter / Engineering Technician to design and develop products using CAD software. You will create assembly and detail drawings, BOMs, and maintain engineering documentation while supporting Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams.

The role requires an Associate degree or equivalent, with 6 months to 1 year of related experience preferred. Strong GD&T, math skills, and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 6 months–1 year experience in a related environment preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business materials and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing.
• Review customer requirements and advise on feasibility and estimated cost of potential products.
• Develop product catalogs and promotional literature.
• Work with Lab Technicians on product performance and verification tests; analyze test results with Project Engineers.
• Assist Quality Department in developing Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Develop and draw assembly and detail drawings, BOMs using project specifications.
• Maintain and update drawing files and Engineering Library.
• Follow established quality system Procedures and Work Instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.
