Job summary

Waters Corporation is seeking an Associate Director of Engineering at our Milpitas site to lead engineering execution, governance, and performance in a regulated, high‑volume manufacturing environment. You will partner with Operations, R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and global engineering to ensure safe, compliant, on‑time delivery at target cost and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 10–12+ years of progressive engineering experience in manufacturing, sustaining engineering, or product development.
• 4+ years of people management leading engineering teams in manufacturing.
• Strong experience with electro‑mechanical instrumentation or complex manufacturing systems.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead site engineering organization including manufacturing and sustaining engineering.
• Provide technical leadership to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Drive sustaining engineering, cost‑reduction initiatives, and capex justification/implementation.
• Oversee NPI transfers and technology transfer to manufacturing.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO and design control requirements.
