Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead the engineering and maintenance teams supporting 24/7 assembly and packaging lines. You will provide strategy, safety leadership, and drive GMP compliance in a highly regulated environment.

You will manage a diverse, cross-functional network across Facilities & Engineering, project management, and QA, delivering reliable equipment performance and continuous improvements while aligning with Amgen's mission to serve patients.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams in pharmaceutical/biotech environments.
• Strong understanding of GMP, FDA, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, strategy, and direction for engineering and maintenance teams.
• Oversee safety, training, and GMP compliance across plant operations.
• Interface with diverse Amgen network and budgeting, capital projects, and audits.
• Deliver engineering plans, progress updates, and risk-based improvements.
