Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our AOH engineering and maintenance teams, supporting 24/7 operations in a GMP environment. You will drive safety, reliability, and process improvements while aligning with shared corporate goals.

Ideal candidates have advanced degrees with extensive pharma/biotech manufacturing leadership experience, strong regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage complex projects across cross-functional networks. Flexible work options are available.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s/Bachelor’s with 4/8/10+ years in pharma/biotech manufacturing, packaging or quality.
• Minimum 4 years in people leadership or management of teams, programs or resources.
• Experience in regulated GMP environments and FDA/cGMP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for engineering and maintenance teams on 24/7 GMP operation.
• Ensure safety, training, GMP compliance and budget adherence.
• Drive improvements, reliability, and audits readiness with cross-functional partners.
• Present plans, status, and expenditures to stakeholders and manage project portfolios.
