Job summary

The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA/Agency) seeks a seasoned Director of Engineering to lead an approximately 50-person department and manage a $1.6 billion Ten-Year Capital Improvement Program. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• California registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).
• At least ten (10) years of progressively responsible engineering and construction project management experience, including at least five (5) years at a manager or supervisory level.
• Master’s degree and/or PMP certification desirable.
• Agency seeks a leader with at least 15 years of progressive experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for the Engineering Department (approx. 50 staff).
• Oversee the Ten-Year, $1.6 billion Capital Improvement Program from planning through operations.
• Oversee consultants and asset management; drive cross-Agency collaboration.
• Focus on accountability and effective project delivery; staff development and relationship-building with senior leadership and the Board.
