Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking an Engineering Director for the East Region, largely remote but with location requirements. You will lead engineering managers, engineers, and energy analysts to meet performance goals, develop service strategies, and ensure high-quality work on schedule and within budget.

You will collaborate with regional PMs and directors to optimize tools and resources, while supporting business development and cross-team coordination across the company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience.
• 8+ years of engineering team management.
• Engineering Degree required.
• PE preferred.

• Lead a team of engineering managers, engineers, and energy analysts with accountability for overall budget and strategic direction.
• Oversee engineering aspects of contracts and proposals.
• Develop region-wide engineering staffing plan (types and quantities of hires, reporting structure).
• Technical oversight for all work within assigned territory; including impact evaluation results.
• Responsible to regional VPs for timely and high-quality execution of technical work.
• Support business development; lead complex BD work.
• Grow capabilities of engineering team and coordinate with other engineering teams.

Job Description

While this position is primarily remote, candidates must live in one of the posted locations to be considered. We are looking for an Engineering Director to join our team in the East Region! You will bring residential, industrial and commercial building expertise to a range of our clients. Engineering management’s primary responsibilities will be to ensure the region achieves performance goals, develop strategies to improve our services, consistently delivers high-quality work on time and within budget, and provides professional growth opportunities for engineers. Engineering management will work closely with regional program managers and directors to provide the best services possible to our clients. Leading the engineering team and working with engineering leaders to collaboratively share resources, develop tools, and strategies to overcome common challenges.
