Job summary

T.Y. Lin International in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Designer, Aviation - Intern, to support engineering projects through quantity take-offs, monitoring and scheduling, computer modeling, progress reporting, and the preparation of drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under senior engineer supervision.

Ideal candidates are 3rd-year Civil Engineering undergraduates or graduate students with strong organizational, communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Qualifications

• 3rd-year undergraduate or graduate student in Civil Engineering.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D required.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
• Assist with project monitoring and scheduling.
• Assist with computer modeling.
• Assist with producing progress reports.
• Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and support staff.
• Assist in production of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates under close supervision of senior engineers.
